The michigancrosscountry.com week 3 rankings were posted today with our girls squad currently ranked 15th in the state for MHSAA division 2 teams. This comes off a strong performance which included a 10th place team finish in session 1 of the Ottawa Hills Invite last Friday. The girls are led by junior Emily Tomes who is rounding back into form after a knee injury sidelined her for most of the summer. Senior Lucy Cusack holds down the number 2 spot on the team with a strong pack of 4 Cougar just behind her. Nora Huffman and Brianna Agon lead the pack with newcomers Katie Ptak and Katence Brown-Holzgen in tow. Rounding out the squad are Joslyn Heckathorn, Ally Broddaus, Hannah Gaiser, and Taylor Shipper.
The Cougars will compete this Saturday at the prestigious Cougar Falcon Invite at the Eagles Nest.
