Hilary Duda, accomplished college player and coach has been named as the new head girls lacrosse coach for Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
Duda currently serves as the Assistant Director and Coach for Summit Lacrosse Club. Most recently she was the head coach for Franklin Pierce University (DII) in Rindge, NH. Before her time at FPU she was an assistant coach at Northern Michigan University (DII) in Marquette, MI for two years. Prior to her time at NMU Duda served as a graduate assistant for Regis University in Denver, CO.
During her college playing career Duda was an attacker for the Regis University lacrosse team. While at school she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in physical education and coaching (2015). Duda earned a master’s degree in coaching leadership from Regis in 2017.
Duda was a four-time All-Conference selection at Regis, including back-to-back selections to the All-RMAC First Team as a junior and a senior. She piled up a team-leading 78 points on 31 goals and 47 assists as a senior in 2016, on the way to All-Region Second Team honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). She finished her career with 214 points (121-93-214), which ranks fifth all-time in program history.
Duda is scheduled to be introduced to the team later this month.
