Freshman diver Lucy Cotter set a school record for 6 dive competition Tuesday night in the Cougars’ last regular season meet of the year against Hamilton High School.
Lucy has been diving for about a year and her future in the sport looks very bright. Her performances in dual meet competition throughout the year have also made her an automatic qualifier for regional championships in November.
Coach Neil Mastellone wasn’t shy when discussing his latest rising star. “Lucy is a joy to coach. She’s smart, she’s disciplined, she’s a good listener, and she works very hard. Lucy turns setbacks into learning experiences. That’s why she succeeds. I’m just glad I get to help her.”
