Gilbert Takes Over as the Girls Lacrosse Coach at Catholic Central

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., September 27, 2018 – Eric Gilbert has been selected to coach Catholic Central’s varsity girls lacrosse team, according to Athletic Director Trevor Hinshaw.

Gilbert has an extensive background in girls lacrosse that includes high school, elite travel and running developmental youth programs in Connecticut and Michigan. 

“We are thrilled to have Eric take the reigns as our girls lacrosse head coach,” said Hinshaw.  “He has been incredibly committed over the years to helping our partner school athletes learn the game. I’m confident he will bring that same passion and dedication to our program.”

Information regarding fall and winter workout schedules will be posted on the athletic website in the near future.

“I am honored to be joining the Catholic Central Family as the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach, and am excited to be able to work with blue-chip student-athletes and represent such an incredible school and community,” said Gilbert. “I have coached members of the team at a number of local, regional and national tournaments and am looking forward to working with the whole program against the toughest girls lacrosse conference in the state."
