After a solid finish to last season, the boys tennis team looks to build on their success. You don’t want to miss any of their action, go and check them out!

The 2023 Boys Tennis team is looking to build off their success from 2022 and an 8th place finish at the State Finals. Their season kicked off with the Northview Quad and a second place finish against Northview, Kelloggsville, and Jenison on Friday (8/18/23).

The Cougars were paced by Sophomore Thomas Tamae at 3rd singles and Senior Axel Cummings at 4th singles. Both athletes won their respective flight championships .

On Saturday (8/19/23) the Cougars were back in action and took 2nd place in the East Kentwood Invite consisting of 8 teams. Once again, the Cougars were paced by Axel Cummings, winning another flight championship and finishing the weekend undefeated .

Boys Tennis Try Outs

August 7th - 11th

8:30am-11:30am @ the CAT Tennis Courts

If it rains Monday (8/7) meet at the CAT Gym doors to pick up your paperwork.  We will decide then whether to wait or dismiss depending on the forecast.

We will do the same Tuesday to collect your paperwork and meet the seniors.

1. Wear shorts with pockets and a hat.
2. Bring a jump rope, 2 qt. jug of water (filled), and a snack.
3. If you are new and without a racquet or need a new racquet, please contact Coach Williams at:  boystennis@grcatholiccentral.org

No cuts will be made and we need a few more players so pass the word!

CC Sports Physical Policy

You will only be allowed to tryout/practice if you are cleared by the CC Athletic Office and have a current sports physical on file for the 2023/2024 school year.
