To those of us old enough to remember the "Wide World of Sports", Wednesday was certainly a day with "The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat" written all over it.  Too young to remember, check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2AZH4FeGsc.

We experienced a day of emotional swings.  Almost everyone of our skiers faced challenges throughout the day, and everyone one of us discovered something new within us.  Something that will make us better people, and we can draw from these experiences to grow from for many years.

At the end of the day, we had two of our own qualify for the State championship on March 25.  Ashton Holland placed 8th in Men's Slalom, and Sophie Trudgeon earned a 10th place finish in Girls Slalom.

Our Boys team finished 7th, Our girls team finished 9th.  It is interesting to note that the local powerhouse teams dominated the podium.  As a team, we performed at a higher level than what we experienced against theses teams earlier this year.

Cannonsburg will be hosting optional training sessions this weekend, we will resume our normal schedule next week, as there is a Varsity race on Tuesday, and a JV race next Thursday.  I will publish our weekly schedule and run orders this weekend.

Regardless of how you finished, be proud of who you are, and what you have accomplished to date!
